Exterior: old cottage on top of a hill
The front door opens and a large man in a kilt jumps out holding bagpipes. After a couple of seconds playing the bagpipes, showing off (squash and stretch), he throws them off stage right and runs off scene, stage left.
He returns by jumping back in with a power slide playing an electric guitar knocking over any object in his way. He jumps backwards in a stylised motion playing the instrument as a stage light appears above him.
The House Cat
A cat sits on a chair. As the owner passes it, the owner picks up his key and heads out the front door and u hear it lock from the outside. The cat unfolds itself on the chair and sits from a knotted, curled position to a more human position. It lifts the TV remote and turns on the TV which transitions to the next scene with an old TV turning on, with white noise and a screen effect.
The Cat walks into the kitchen
Camera one shows him walking through the door from inside of the kitchen, camera 2 is behind his head. After the cat walks into the room, the camera switches to a perspective shot which moves from one side of the room, to the other, zooming towards a bowl which says ‘Cat’ on it.
Reaction shot camera switches to camera 3, the side of the fridge as the door opens so u can’t see the cat rummaging through as it throws random products out. The door closes as it walks away with milk, eggs and bacon. Camera 2 again dollies forward as the cat is now standing on the stool using the cooker making eggs n bacon with a glass of milk. The owner walks back in, looks in the kitchen and the cat food has ‘Cat’ crossed out and it says ‘Human’.
The Detective (Noir)
1940's/50's detective stumbles into a crime scene and begins to search for clues in an alley uncovering the events which transpired.
He starts by walking into the alley from the street. The camera will be in the lane to keep the scene more enclosed.
Once at the end of the lane he will look around observing his surroundings which will be conveyed through the actions of the characters and use of the cameras. He will then walk to a flask opening it and drinking its contents to show his lack of professionalism giving him more character before going to a chalk outline of a body and drawing a face on it changing the atmosphere as colour runs into the scene and transitioning to a montage as the character does wacky things.
